Publication Ethics
Young Scientists Forum: New Ideas for New Uzbekistan follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies high publication-ethics standards to all parties involved.
Author responsibilities
- Submit only original, previously unpublished work
- Cite all sources used accurately
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Name all co-authors and have their consent for submission
- Inform the editorial office of any errors discovered post-publication
Reviewer responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript
- Conduct review objectively and without bias
- Notify editors of any conflict of interest
- Not use unpublished material for personal purposes
- Point out inconsistencies, missing references and potential plagiarism
Editorial responsibilities
- Make publication decisions based solely on academic merit
- Maintain confidentiality of all materials before publication
- Ensure fair and unbiased peer review
- Investigate claims of misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism)
- Publish corrections or retractions when necessary
Responding to misconduct
When misconduct is identified (plagiarism, data falsification, duplicate publication, ghost authorship), the editorial office follows COPE procedures: investigation, author contact, publication of correction or retraction.
