Publication Ethics

Young Scientists Forum: New Ideas for New Uzbekistan follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies high publication-ethics standards to all parties involved.

Author responsibilities

  • Submit only original, previously unpublished work
  • Cite all sources used accurately
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest
  • Name all co-authors and have their consent for submission
  • Inform the editorial office of any errors discovered post-publication

Reviewer responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript
  • Conduct review objectively and without bias
  • Notify editors of any conflict of interest
  • Not use unpublished material for personal purposes
  • Point out inconsistencies, missing references and potential plagiarism

Editorial responsibilities

  • Make publication decisions based solely on academic merit
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials before publication
  • Ensure fair and unbiased peer review
  • Investigate claims of misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism)
  • Publish corrections or retractions when necessary

Responding to misconduct

When misconduct is identified (plagiarism, data falsification, duplicate publication, ghost authorship), the editorial office follows COPE procedures: investigation, author contact, publication of correction or retraction.
