Young Scientists Forum: New Ideas for New Uzbekistan applies zero tolerance to plagiarism and unethical practices.
Definition
Plagiarism is the presentation of someone else's ideas, text, figures, tables, data or results under one's own name without proper attribution. This includes: verbatim copying without quotation marks, paraphrasing without reference to the original, reuse of one's own previously published text without citation (self-plagiarism), and patchwork plagiarism.
Screening
All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality using iThenticate / Turnitin / Antiplagiat.Ru. Minimum originality threshold: 85%; any single source exceeding 15% similarity requires justification.
Response
- Pre-publication: manuscript is returned for revision or rejected
- Post-publication: a Notice of Plagiarism is published or the article is retracted
- The author's institution is notified of the misconduct
- The author may be barred from submitting to the conference for a defined period
